During a technical conference of medical doctors - the majority of them experienced Masters of Public Health since years - I asked them to spontaneously write down what comes to their mind when they see the terms IEC-Health Promotion-Health Education.

The result shows: The meaning of IEC is nearly unknown, Health Education is strongly connected to schools and Health Promotion is "vast" and includes health education.
