Mother-to-child and
blood transfusion transmissions of HIV need to be reviewed. The essence of
the epidemic is HIV transmission by unprotected sex among multiple partners.
The following aspects are now
noted.

testing for prevalence of HIV among the antenatal clinic attendees.
- The teenage pregnancy incidence and rate under 18 years
can be categorized.
- The proportion of sexually transmitted diseases (STD)
in antenatal attendees like syphilis.
- Percentage of sexually active women using condoms.
- Proportion of children leaving primary school who are
fully informed of the causes and methods of transmission of HIV.
- Proportion of household living below the minimum
poverty line.
- Unemployment rate.
- The number of reported rape cases.
- The number of cases of workplace legislation abuse
related to employees contracting HIV.
- The number of homeless children or the capacity of the
society to care for its AIDS orphans.
- The number of people emerging per year as living with
AIDS.
- The real target is the stubborn male who refuses to
wear a condom.
