The
prevention of future morbidity in longterm survivors of cancer is largely
unaddressed, and strategies that focus not only on the control or
eradication of disease but also on restoration of function and maintenance
of psychological well-being are appropriate (4,10,11,30). Diet, weight, and
physical activity interventions carry tremendous potential to affect length
and quality of survival in a positive manner and prevent or control
morbidity associated with cancer or its treatment. |
