Information
technologies are enabling all of medicine, bringing forth new opportunities and rapid
change. Preventive medicine needs to incorporate these technologies, and in so doing
evolve and integrate tele-preventive health into the corpus of traditional preventive
medicine. Some new technologies are devices, to improve diagnosis and treatment; some are
drugs and other pharmacological agents, for prevention and treatment; and some are
information science tools, to improve the coordination, analysis and dissemination of
preventive health information. |
