We discovered 8
cases of IGT among women and two cases of IGT among men, totally 2,8%. All the cases of
IGT were revealed for the first time. Total prevalence of DM and IGT was 3% (10 patient
with IGT and one with DM).
The average fasting glucose level among women - 5,05 mmol/l (CI 4,92 -5, 18) was higher
than among men (4,77 mmol/l (95% CI 4,65 - 4,89)), as was true of the average postloading
level - 5,0 (4,81-5,20) vs 4,37 (4,18 -4,56), and of the fasting insulin level - 119,5
pm/l (102,4 -136,5) vs 88,0 (70,1- 106,8). |
