This study examined the level of preparedness of laboratories in Jamaica for accreditation and investigated barriers experienced by these laboratories in preparing for accreditation. Barriers included cost, lack of motivation of staff, lack of management support and absence of a quality manager.

Pakistan has shown drastic expansion of tuberculosis (TB) care during the past 10 years. Over 1 million TB patients have been cared for since 2000, with a treatment success rate of 91% in 2007.
