The course and prognosis differ case by case:
1) unaware of the infection and cure naturally, 2) with symptoms and go
through typical clinical course, 3) with severe and critical symptoms
accompanied by coma but cure finally, 4) end up with fatal outcome. In
acute cases, blood biochemical change will recover within 6 weeks.
Hepatitis B, C, and D may progress further to chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, and hepatocellular carcinoma. |
