Jane E. Miller is the
author of two books and several articles about statistical literacy
and quantitative communication published in research and teaching
journals. She has given workshops on these topics to audiences
ranging from middle school teachers through post-doctoral students,
and to researchers and academics at universities and professional
conferences in public health, sociology, economics, and demography.
She seeks to teach researchers to bridge the gap between correct
quantitative analysis and effective expository writing.
Dr. Miller’s research
interests include socioeconomic differences in children’s health and
access to healthcare and measurement issues related to health. She
teaches courses on research methods, epidemiology, and other
quantitative methods.
