This has been associated with kennel cough in dogs. A combined infection with CDV or Bordetella bronchiseptica leads to serious disease. A live attenuated vaccine is now sometimes incorporated into canine multivalent vaccines. Most dogs have antibody to PI-5 without having had clinical disease.
