In low consumption areas, individual education was inversely related to physical health, while in high consumption areas, education was positively related to physical health. Higher education for people living in areas with greater inequality and alcohol consumption had a protective effect on their physical health, as did residing in more egalitarian areas with lower alcohol consumption for those with lower educational status. |
