Health expenditures of countries generally are related to the primary care score. Countries with poorer primary care spend more, on average, generally $2000 or more per capita per year (1996 purchasing power parity US dollars). Countries in the middle group spend between $1400 and $2000, and those with strong primary care generally spend $1400 or less.
