Because fish oil contains many ingredients, we
wanted to know which ingredients were effective. When we tested pure EPA and
DHA, each alone carried on albumin was highly protective. So we think that
it is the EPA and DHA, which are the physiologically active n-3 fatty acids
in fish oil. We were unable to test sufficient dogs to learn whether one
fatty acid was more potent than the other. |
