In addition the concentrations of EPA required to affect the repolarizing K+ currents were considerably larger than those required to affect the INa and the ICa,L, as described above. For these reasons we do not consider the modulating action of the PUFAs on polarizing potassium currents to be contributing to the antiarrhythmic effects of the n-3 fish oil fatty acids.
