High levels of multitypic dengue neutralizing antibodies circulate in Haitian children, ages 6 – 13 years. Monotypic dengue neutralizing antibodies to each of the four dengue viruses were found. Dengue virus types 1,2 & 4 had been recovered from UN personnel in 1994-6 including DHF/DSS-associated Asian genotype DENV 2 (Halstead et al 65:180-183, 2001).
