Biorobotics Workshop
Following the success of the
Biorobotics session
that took place during the BioVisionAlexandria International Conference 2010
at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), and in cooperation with the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS), and the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST);
the Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) had continued its support towards young researchers by organizing the Biorobotics Workshop during the period 13-15 December 2010.

Over a period of three days, this Workshop aimed to introduce the new science of Robotics and Biorobotics, and to deliver skill quality training to young researchers in these fields.

The Workshop has included sessions and presentations covering different topics in the fields of Robotics as well as Biorobotics. It also included demonstrations and laboratory experiments to provide attendees with a hands-on experience in that field.

Application criteria

The applicant should be:
1. A young researcher, under the age of 40 years.
2. An Arab national citizen.
3. MSc or PhD student, or post-doctoral researcher, working in the field of Robotics or Biorobotics.

Registration

Registration is closed.

Sponsorship

TWAS Arab Regional Office (TWAS-ARO) offered a number of sponsorships to eligible applicants to cover the registration fees, travel expenses and accommodation costs.

Sponsorship criteria

1. A young researcher, under the age of 40 years.
2. An Arab national citizen living in Arab countries.
3. MSc or PhD student, or post-doctoral researcher, working in the field of Robotics or Biorobotics.
