This slide shows the major adverse health effects in the offspring of normal glucose tolerance mothers verses that of diabetic mothers. As shown, frequency of adverse health effects was significantly greater in the offspring of DM mothers. Some of the health effects such as upper+lower spine and caudal dysgenesis were as large as 66 time more in the offspring of diabetic mothers.
