Firstly the virtual congress saves money and time of the participants because they do not need money for travelling and accommodation. The Congress takes long time - about 10 days, 24 hours per day - so each participant has the full possibility to manage his/her time.

I participated in the Congress in 1997 - I had a poster at the Telemedicine section. I met a few disadvantages discouraging me. Mainly there was very rare discussion in poster sessions.
