Any user does not need to visit the library. He/she needs to have so called “client software” to establish a connection between his/her computer and an electronic library. The Ultra*Net system we chose enables to use several types of client software. Each client has advantages and disadvantages but a user (resp. server administrator) has the possibility to choose the most suitable client for concrete circumstances which are composed from user’s requirements, equipment, network, security, etc.
