Domestic violence against women depends on several factors, which appear unpredictable. As Lev Tolstoy said, all happy families look similar, each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way. However, a number of characteristics are directly related to the likelihood of domestic violence.
They can be grouped as follows:
- demographic factors;
- cultural factors;
- family factors.
