The lecture provides an overview of the fetal origins of disease hypothesis and the status of the current literature. We present supporting evidence and not so supporting evidence for the hypothesis; briefly discuss the potential role of nutrition; possibility of confounding, and an alternative hypothesis that has recently been put forward in the literature. |
