In short, both the
tolerance levels (including screening values and MRLs) and the POC residue
data on hand must be applied with extreme caution. Even with that being a
caveat, it is still important that some level of conservatism be exercised
to err on the side of health protection. It is based on this assertion that
certain prevention and mitigation strategies are deemed necessary here for
fish contamination with POCs. After all, many societies have the tendency to
promote better health. There is also the notion that health risk prevention
of this type, if effective and appropriate, would help reduce the costly
expenses for medical or long-term health cares incurred from illnesses
