Studies
using epidemiological principles not only just look at distribution of disease, but are
also used for program planning and evaluation. Some may argue that demographic,
mortality and morbidity studies are not true epidemiologic studies. Nevertheless, I have
included them because it is important to know that these studies contribute much to our
understanding of diseases, and the continual gathering of vital statistics, mortality and
morbidity statistics are important to ensuring the health of the Public. |
