surveillance - relatively inexpensive. This type of surveillance is frequently used in
occupational health surveillance programs. The identification of one case would suggest
that there may be other cases. Lacks specificity about the cause of disease and the risk factors to which the population has been exposed. Can be used to evaluate the quality of medical care. Cannot be used to identify cause of disease. |
